Attorney Directory

In the legal community, experience, depth of knowledge and legal understanding are revered. In practice, that translates into the ability to get a fair and expedient resolution for the client, whether in the courtroom or before getting there. With Jim Hiller, clients get both a vast knowledge of the law as well as a proven track record.

Through his far-reaching involvement in the legal community, Jim has worked with nearly all state and federal judges in Portland. Jim has long been active in the federal, state and local legal communities. For many years, Jim was the Chair of the Local Rules Advisory Committee of the Federal Court in Oregon. He is a former Executive Council member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, Past President of the Oregon Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and Past Chair of the Multnomah Bar Association's Court Liaison Committee. He is often called on to speak on a variety of legal topics, and he is a frequent contributor to various legal publications. Jim is a founding editor of "For the District," a quarterly newsletter published by the Oregon Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and author of "Duty to Defend," a chapter in the Oregon State Bar Insurance treatise.
